Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Moonstone

2017, Februāris

I think it’s fair to say that 2016 was a year of highlighters. We saw new product launches every few weeks making it extremely difficult to understand what’s what. For the majority of the year I was still on the look out for my perfect highlighter, but once this puppy came along I’ve never looked back since!!

I started my Becca highlighter collection with Opal which turned out to be a tad too dark for my skintone. I then purchased the oh so popular and at the time so incredibly hard to source Champagne Pop which ended up being a bit of a disappointment as I found it too intense for my everyday makeup needs.

Third time lucky, right? About six months ago I finally gave in and bought Moonstone as this was rumored to be perfect for paler skintones. I agree 100%. It’s the perfect shade for me! I would describe it as pale gold. I loved it so much that within a week I had also purchased a cream and a liquid version and I now own it all three formulas.

At the moment my favourite has to be the liquid one. It’s very easy to apply and blend out using fingers and once blended it’s not that intense so you don’t need to worry about overdoing it. The bottle is massive (50ml!) so I can’t see myself having to repurchase anytime soon. I know that some people like to mix the liquid in with their foundation and apply all over the face and on the shoulders. That might work for a beach holiday or a night out but it’s not really an everyday option, at least not for me.

Cream works well for applying on the go and traveling – it has the smallest packaging out of all three and you don’t have to worry about the product shattering in your makeup bag.

You can get it here: Powder £32.00; Cream £30.00; Liquid £34.00

Which is your favourite highlighter?
